I’m 29 year old. I graduated in June 2017 with a bachelor’s degree in Networks, Systems and Security. Currently I work as a Full Stack developer at Organi (Wilrijk, Belgium).

In my spare time I like to work on personal projects. My personal projects don’t always include coding. As you would’ve guessed from my education I’m also really into electronics. So when I’m not holding a keyboard, I’m probably holding a soldering iron. For the more social activities I enjoy playing video- and board games with my friends, snowboarding and wall climbing/bouldering.

Programming is my passion as you can see by the many projects I’ve worked on: lots of projects in different languages. I love experimenting which is why some projects are unfinished. As I see it, it’s not about the destination but about the experience gained.

My go-to framework for web development since 2017. Most of my projects are developed on top of Laravel or Lumen. I have experience with almost all packages developed by the Laravel and Spatie teams.

Vue.js is my frontend framework of choice. I use it a lot together with Inertia.js and Vuex. I also have quite some experience with Angular.

I have a lot of experience creating frontends or admin panels with Tailwind, Bootstrap, Pure.css and Bulma. Tailwind is my absolute favorite though.

Main operating system for many years. I personally use Ubuntu with a custom build desktop environment for higher efficiency. Setup and maintenance of web servers.

The snowsports application is a website I wrote for a skiclub. It’s made so that monitors and members can easily connect. Monitors can easily add lessons. The members can indicate whether they will be present. Everyone has a profile where they can add familiy members who are too young to create an account themselves. The website is written on top of the Laravel framework and is completely mobile friendly.

A web application I wrote for a teambuilding event in Antwerp. It is the interface for a real-life interactive group game. Citypolis description: Citypolis takes place in a 300m² space which is arranged into a large imaginary city and which is filled with interactive tasks. The participants will be divided into sub-teams which shall compete with each other in “the city”. This is a unique indoor team game filled with action and strategy, innovation and technology.

This project is the final work I had to do before graduating college. I did my internship at Uni-t which is part of the Gemaco group. Because of the fast growing staff number Uni-t decided a ‘who is who application’ would be a great idea to reconnect the people at Gemaco. This application would make it easier to find out personal and useful information about the company and the staff. This would make it easier for existing and new staff members to fit in. This is how Gemaco Connect was born: an online Laravel application with an API behind it. The API, which is also a Laravel application and uses the passport package for authentication, is used to store all data as a single sign-on provider. This way the API can be easily integrated in other (existing) applications.

Fun project i did during the holidays. This is an application to use used among friends. When creating an account you get a small amount of credits. With there credits you can have the application call your friends. When picking up they will be greeted with a message. Usually this message will be that they have to do an ‘ad fundum’. Calling is done via the Twilio API. The application is written in the Laravel framework.
